Understanding corruption as "a complex phenomenon  (...) that generates strong consequences in public administration and politics", the aim of the seminar is to "explore specific corruption cases in social inequality contexts that help to understand how important accountability can be useful to build better social conditions in terms of justice and wealth distribution."

Luis Jorge Garay and Eduardo Salcedo-Albarán, with their relevant experience in investigation and theorization on corruption and State capture, will contribute  to the discussion. In representation of Vortex Foundation and the Global Observatory of Transnational Criminal Networks, they will present a case of State Capture in Colombia in the third panel, explaining how corruption can be a inequality generator, but also, analyzing how different strategies can be used to diminish the condition
